SYMPTOM(s):
Progress backups and other batch processes take 3 times longer than before.
CHANGE:
New sun os-patches installed
CAUSE:
Problems with the version of firmware on the hard discs were detected by Sun.
FIX:
Contact Sun: downgrading the firmware revision solved the problem.
