Why does UPDATE of 1 record show many record locks in PROMON ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.X
FIX:
UPDATE does 2 record locks when updating fields not being part of any index (ie 2 records per whatever amount of fields not being member of index).
The 2nd extra record lock belongs to the index on the recid.
PLUS if the field is a member of index -> 2 record locks per updated field (if member of index).
