How do I integrate Progress and ERwin? ODBC Driver or .DF ?
There are two ways to use ERwin with Progress.
One way is to use .df files. A Progress database can generate a .df
file that can then be read into ERwin (reverse engineering) to create
a model diagram. Conversely, ERwin can generate a .df file which
can be loaded into a Progress database (forward engineering).
However, as an alternative, you can use the Intersolv ODBC driver to
directly access the Progress database.
Logic Works has provided enhanced support for Progress via the .df
file. Some of these enhancements may be lost due to limitations of
ODBC.
We recommend using the .df file for the most complete integration.
