SYMPTOM(s):
Starting the database (with "proserve <db>" or with a single user session "pro <db>" for example)
Begin Physical Undo transactions at block offset (7163)
Physical Undo Phase Completed at <bi address>. (5331)
Begin Logical Undo Phase, incomplete transactions are being backed out. (7162)
CAUSE:
These are possible messages when there has been an abnormal shutdown of the database. Some transactions needs to be undone.
FIX:
Be patient and wait for the Undo phase to be terminated. You might want to look within the database log file how many, and since how long, users were connected prior to the emergency or abnormal shutdown to occurring.
