GOAL:

How can an Application and Progress installation be distributed on client machines?

FACT(s) (Environment):

Windows

FIX:

Application:
The most common method for an application is to install it on a network server and connect the clients to this network resource.

Progress:
Progress can be installed locally on the client which means that all the Progress installation is local to the client machine. This can require a lot of free disk space and makes it more difficult to maintain.
or
Progress can be installed onto a network server, which allows client machines to perform a NETSETUP from this network install. This will just copy some required DLL's to each client machine and the rest of the Progress files are loaded into memory from the server as required from the client. This method takes up very little disk space on the client and is easier to maintain.
