FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
FIX:
If security has not been enabled on the Database, in other words you do not need to login when starting a client session, then recreate the sysprogress user account:
1. Launch Progress Data Administration utility:(Admin-> Security-> Edit User List)
2. Delete the sysprogress user account
3. Recreate the sysprogress user account noting the password.
The sysprogress user will regain DBA access.
If security has been enabled, the Edit User List is disabled when logged on with a blank user id for example, so another user account with full password and ADMIN permissions will need to be used instead.
