Cancel button acts like Ok with Ask At Run Time prompt.
Using GUI Results Ask At Run Time prompt with leading wildcard.
CAUSE:
Bug#19950303-043, and has also been logged in Bug# 20020923-010.
CAUSE:
Known issue, and a bug is logged.
The behaviour can be seen with the following steps:
Tested with 91D on NT.
1. Start GUI Results.
2. Query > New Report
3. Select Customer table, Name field.
4. Data > Selection
5. Select Name
6. Check "Ask At Run Time"
7. Select Matches
8. Enter your question
9. Go back to main Results screen and Preview the report.
10. At prompt try "*"
Step 10 returns the message: "Contains string cannot begin with an asterisk, but may be used as a trailing wildcard, for example "sales*". This is Bug# 20020923-010.
11. Select Cancel from the Ask At Run Time prompt, and Results returns all the records. This is Bug#19950303-043.
FIX:
Don't use an Ask At Run Time Prompt with a leading wildcard with GUI Results.
