V9 client hangs when attempting to access Data Dictionary menu through the Procedure Editor
V9 client first connects to V8 Progress db and then connects to V9 SH
Informational Warning is received when accessing Data Dictionary.
Database <V8db> is a V8 database.
This V9 dictionary cannot be used with a PROGRESS V8 database.
Use the dictionary under PROGRESS V8 to access this database.
V9 client can access Data Administration Menu through the Procedure Editor
V9 client does not hang when connecting first V9 SH and then V8 db
CAUSE:
Bug # 20020916-024
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.0A or above.
If upgrading is not possible the following workaround is available:
1. Establish the same connection; V9 client connects V8 Progress db and then connects to V9 SH
2. Procedure editor will open
3. Go to Tool
4. Open Data Administration
5. Then through Tools, Open Data Dictionary
