GOAL:
Is it normal for Prostrct Unlock to set a damage flag when inconsistences are found with the database and they are fixed?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Versions
FIX:
The Prostrct Unlock command is the same as forcing into the database and when inconsistencies are found the damage flag may be set on the database. When a database is forced open there is a chance of physical and / or logical corruption. This utility should be used as a last resort.
When the damage flag is set the database should be restored with a known good backup or a dump and load should be preformed.
