Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
prowin32.exe caused an access violation
CAUSE:
This can occur sometimes due to corruption within the operating system files.
Since Progress uses operating system dll's for some of its functionality, corruption in those OS files can generate errors in Progress.
FIX:
Re-apply the most recent operating system patch and see if this corrects the problem.
It may even be necessary to re-install the operating system since not all files are contained within the operating system service packs.
