1432 errno 0 or 2 - Check server startups -N -S
Could not connect to server for database <database>, errno 0. (1432)
Could not connect to server for database <database>, errno 2. (1432)
If you see either of these errors when connecting from a
remote client to a database server, check the startup
parameters on the server. The server must be started with
-N (network type) and -S (service name) parameters that
are compatible with the -N and -S parameters on the client.
The -S parameters must match exactly. For more information
about compatible values of -N, see Kbase 13982 "Network
Connections for VMS, UNIX, DOS with TCP, SPX, DECnet".
If you do not explicitly specify -N on the server, the
network type will default to:
NETBIOS on Windows NT, DOS, and OS/2
TLI on NLM and Unix
DECnet on VMS
