SYMPTOM(s):
Client session hangs when running in a MC/Service Guard environment
The Progress database broker starts correctly.
When attempting to connect to the database the client session hangs with no error messages appearing in any of the log files.
The _mprosrv process exists and the database log file shows that there are no errors on startup.
FIX:
This problem has been narrowed down to a particular HP-UX 11i MC/Service Guard patch.
The patch that resolves this problem is:
PHSS_26750 for s700_800 11.X MC/ServiceGuard and SG-OPS Edition A.11.09
PHSS_27087 for s700_800 11.X MC/ServiceGuard and SG-OPS Edition A.11.13
PHSS_27246 for s700_800 11.X MC/ServiceGuard and SG-OPS Edition A.11.14
or their supercedors - please consult with your HP vendor before applying the patch.
