Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Error 1067 when trying to start the Actuate Request Server service
Could not start the Actuate Request Server 4 on \\localhost
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly
When running the ACExport or the ACDefrag error: abnormal program termination
Enough space in disk available
No backup available
FIX:
Go to Server directory and rename the "request" directory to "request_original". Try to start request server
Request folder contains active, completed and schedule requests. If you rename/delete the folder, report server will create a new one at startup.
If you don't have any schedule requests then you won't loose any valuable information. All completed notices will be deleted.
This is not a standard procedure that customer have to follow all the time. It seems that original request directory had a problem and this was the fastest way to get server up and running.
Not sure what was the problem with original directory but it can be number of problems.
The best way to get around the problem is server maintenance and backup.
