FIX:
The AdminServer is a service which runs on the server side of a Progress environment, this process is a Java based RMI interface which allow us to manage processes from a local or remote location .
The regular method to start it up is by using the command :
proadsv -start
The default listening port is the 20931 but we can modify this port by using the following command :
proadsv -start -port XXXXX
This service has been available since version 9.0x and it's graphical user interface is the Progress Explorer Tool which is only available under a Win32 environment.
The AdminServer is installed as a service under Win32 and we can locate it under the Control Panel/Services or Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services, this service is by default configured to start automatically when the system boots up and can be modified to be started manually or started under an specific system account.
