Error 1431 and ESQL
The error message ' PROTOCOL tcp is not supported in this version of
PROGRESS. (1431) ' may occur when trying to connect remotely to
a database using an ESQL client application. A common reason for this
is that the protocol (TCP or other) has not been built into the
ESQL application. This needs to be done duriung the PROBUILD phase of
building the ESQL application. TCP and other network protocols are
part of the CONFIGURABLE ELEMENTS screen during the PROBUILD.
