Using the DOS or DOS SILENT 4GL statement
COMSPEC environment variable is not set
CAUSE:
The errors mean that the rundos.exe file (supplied by Progress and is called when a DOS or DOS Silent command is issued) cannot find the DOS command interpreter (command.com) in the root directory of the drive that it boots from.
FIX:
A valid command.com must be on the root of the drive that the machine was booted with.
