In certain circumstance on AIX, the following error is also seen:
ORACLE error ·3114 see ·ORACLE Error Messages and Codes Manual·. (1255)
** not connected to ORACLE
CAUSE:
Oracle Bug 2324286: The Oracle bug is specific to Oracle 8.1.7 on Solaris only. Oracle maintains the issue is specific to this version and platform.
Since Progress has seen the issue on other platforms, we have workaround the issue (issue addressd in Progress Bug# 20020314-042) and fixed the Oracle problem within Progress code.
FIX:
Apply Progress Service Pack 9.1D02 to correct this problem
