FACT(s) (Environment):
Oracle DataServer
SYMPTOM(s):
_orasrv.exe is still alive even after the DataServer broker (orabroker and/or _probrkr) is shut down
Client still connected to ORACLE
Application returns records even after the DataServer broker is stopped
CAUSE:
This is expected behavior. _orasrv process will remain alive until the client connection is remained open to ORACLE.
FIX:
If you would like for this process, _orasrv, to terminate, disconnect the client from ORACLE. Otherwise, there is no action to be taken.
