SYMPTOM(s):
Error when issuing proshut command against a database
Invalid shutdown request from <user-id> on <tty>. (541)
CAUSE:
The specified user has tried to shutdown a PROGRESS database server, but a different user started the server. Only the superuser or the user that started the server can shut it down.
FIX:
Shut down the database using the same OS user that started it.
Alternatively, shut down the database once you have logged in as superuser (root on UNIX systems, Administrator on Windows systems).
