Named Pipes *are* supported on Windows/NT
Whether named pipes are supported on Windows NT is a frequently asked
question.
Progress does indeed support reading from and writing to named pipes
on Windows NT, using names of the form "\\.\pipe\<pipename>".
However, one point worth mentioning: the pipe name supplied must be
the name of an already existing pipe. Progress does not *create*
pipes, it only reads and writes them.
