Can Progress be installed without the supported version of Java?
FIX:
Yes, the installation of Progress only checks to see if Java is installed on the machine.
The certified version of Java should be installed on platforms that a JVM is not shipped with in order to use all the products. Not installing the certified version of Java for your Progress version will affect Progress processes that use Java and can cause them to be unusable. Some processes that use Java are AdminServer, SQL92 engine, ect.
