Progress/OpenEdge Versions

FIX:

It is possible to install different Progress/OpenEdge versions of the product together on the same system, for example 9.1E, and 10.1C. For this purpose, different installation directories and program group names should be selected during the installation of each version.

It is NOT possible to install the same Progress/OpenEdge version of the product more than once on the same system, for example 10.1C twice in different directories or 10.1C and 10.1C with SP02 concurrently.

This is due to the fact that the InstallShield script used by the setup program records Progress' configuration information into the Windows registry using the version number as a key. The Windows registry prohibits duplicate registry entries to be created. Thus, a duplicate installation of the same version of the product cannot be supported.
