GOAL:

Is it possible to shut down a database by only knowing the service port?

FIX:

No. All progress commands require the use of the database name or identifier to stop an individual database. "DBMAN -stop -all" will allow the user to stop all databases running, but not specific databases based solely on their service port name or number.
