SYMPTOM(s):
While compiling code getting error (7955).
Error: Attempt to reference user-defined function '<function>' in an ASSIGN type statement after an assignment to key field '<fieldname>' (7955)
In Progress 6.x the field did not have an index.
CHANGE:
Migrated database from Progress 6.x to Progress 8.X using conversion utilities.
CAUSE:
Schema requirement changes between Progress 6 and Progress 8 were not addressed by the conversion utility leading to apparent index corruption.
FIX:
Dump and load the database.
