What to do when encountering Progress install error "unable to read data" (106)
FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX
Windows
FIX:
1.Make sure media is correct for intended platform; media is platform specific by media ID number and media label.
2.Check CD surface for dirt and/or scratches, wipe clean.
3.Copy CD contents to the hard drive and run install from there.
4.This error can also be present due to corrupt media. If all of the previous suggestions fail please contact Progress Technical Support.
