** TERM not found in PROTERMCAP when doing install
** TERM not found in PROTERMCAP message is seen when trying to install
progress. If the TERM environment variable is correct and the user
is running on Open Server Enterprise System Release 5.0.0, then you
need to check and see what other software packages are loaded on the
system. To perform this you need to type at the unix prompt the
following command.
"swconfig|more" is the command to type at the unix prompt. This will
display to the screen all the packages install on the SCO system. The
one of interest is the SCO Symmetrical Multiprocessing. This package
will need to be removed and then added back once progress has been
installed.
You can remove the package one of two ways. The custom command or
the pkgrm command. The custom command has a user interface that makes
the process easier for the user. Please reference SCO manuals for
these procedures.
