FACT(s) (Environment):

SYMPTOM(s):
Error: Can't create output file <Progress installation pathname> wsmsqpd.dll
CAUSE:
You will receive the error when the Web server is running during the patch installation. The wsmsqpd.dll file is related to the WebSpeed messenger. Therefore, when the Web server runs the wsmsqpd.dll gets loaded in to the memory and stays there until the Web server is stopped.
FIX:
Preform the following steps to resolve the error:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services.
Stop the *IIS Admin Service* and the *World Wide Web Publishing Service* in the Services window.
