SYMPTOM(s):
The library file "%DLC%\bin\ProPerf8.dll specified for the "ProPerf8" service could not be opened.
General Protection Fault (GPF) on Windows
CHANGE:
upgraded from version 8
CAUSE:
Progress version 9 does not use NT Performance Counters.
If you upgraded from version 8 of Progress references to these counters may still exist within the registry and may generate messages referring to the properf8.dll.
FIX:
Remove the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Properf8
Then Reboot the machine.
