SYMPTOM(s):
Progress background process eating 92% of CPU updating records
Progress background process slowing down the entire system
CAUSE:
Database indexes are improperly used and/or defined.
FIX:
Optimize 4GL code run it by _progress in background.
Compile the code with XREF option and check if indexes are
properly used.
This will minimize the time while the client is running the code but will not change the CPU utilization.
