What to do if the sample HLC application does not compile
There have been several problems seen in regards to the sample HLC
application that is shipped with PROGRESS Version 7 and up. This is
sometimes referred to as the tank demo. It is referenced in the
PROGRESS External Program Interfaces manual (V7 p 6-34, V8 p 7-32).
There may be one or more programs from the $DLC/hlc/probuild/examples
directory that do not compile successfully on your system, which will
prevent you from running the testhlc script that builds and executes
the HLC demo.
A bug has been logged for this issue.
There is currently no workaround for this issue.
