Progress 9.1x
UNIX
SYMPTOM(s):
SYSTEM ERROR: Memory violation. (49)
CHANGE:
Changed to a new server
CAUSE:
Small shared memory segment defined on the kernel of the machine.
Some UNIX systems use the shared memory segment size defined to 16Mb by default and Progress database uses 128Mb.

Increase the shared memory segment size of the machine to 128Mb.
In most UNIX servers the shared memory segment size is defined by the parameter SHMMAX on the kernel.
