GOAL:
How much memory does a WebSpeed server use ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
The total processes that constantly run on the WebSpeed Transaction Server with the Progress default settings are:
- 3 java processes (Admin Server, Name Server and the broker) each one may take up to 20 MB of the host's memory.
- Depending on the licenses for the agents (_progres), each agent may take up to 8 MB of the host's memory
In Windows, the AdminServer process name is admsrvc.exe. This process may take up to 5 MB of the host's memory.
