SYMPTOM(s):
_progres.exe is not being installed
CAUSE:
According to the installation manual, the Progress character client (_progres.exe) for Windows platform is an optional component so it is not installed by default with a "TYPICAL" installation.
FIX:
In order to have the _progres.exe installed on the machine, reinstall the Progress product again and specifically select the character client component from the "CUSTOM" installation options.
Another option is to choose a "COMPLETE" install during the installation. procedure.
