Distributed configuration, IIS and name server/transaction server are on different machines
Have software based firewall that is also used as Network Address Translator (NAT) on a different NT machine
Can not establish telnet session with the broker port from the Web server machine to the WebSpeed Transaction Server Machine
The host file of the Web server contains only the WebSpeed Transaction Server's name and ip address
CAUSE:
The host file missing the name and ip reference of the Firewall machine. Since the firewall is being used as a NAT, the Web server needs to have the name and ip address references in its hosts file. The references of the WebSpeed transaction server's name and ip are not needed on the Web server.
FIX:
Enter the name and the ip address references of the Firewall machine in the Web server's hosts file.
