SYMPTOM(s):
Trying to start the database in single user mode and it fails
error Last open date mismatch. (9215)
error Extent [extent name].a1 has a different last opened
date [date], (9213)
error Probable backup/restore error. (605)
error Database is damaged, see documentation. (1486)
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
Older ai extents are located in the same directory as the newer ones, possible after splitting a mirror. When trying to connect in single user mode, the database goes through crash recovery, therefore the ai and bi files are read. The older ai files cause the discrepancy.
FIX:
1.Disable after imaging
2.Copy the older extents out
3. Delete these older extents.
