SYMPTOM(s):
Attempt to start database fails in Logical undo phase.
Begin Logical Undo Phase, 1 incomplete transactions are being backed out (7162)
Any process that tries to start or connect to the database appears to crash / GPF without any stacktrace, during the logical undo phase.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
All Supported Operating Systems
CAUSE:
Database corruption.
FIX:
Restore the database from backup and check it for corruption using dbrpr.
It is recommended to also check the hardware for faults such as bad spots on harddisks etc.
