SYMPTOM(s):
Database abnormally shutdown.
SYSTEM ERROR: Failed to extract field <field-num> from <file-name> record (table <table-num>) with recid <RECID>. (3191)
SYSTEM ERROR: Cannot read field from record, not enough fields. (450)
proutil dbname -C DBRPR scan outputs:
Skip tab too small testrec failed on recid/dbkey:#####
Skip tab too small testrec failed on recid/dbkey:5793635
CAUSE:
Physical corruption in the database. This is generally caused by hardware problems.
FIX:
1) Restore a backup prior to the time the errors occurred. This is not always going to work. It is possible that the corrupted data has been in the database for a long time.
2> Run the proutil dbrpr utility to scan & repair the database. This is an unsupported, undocumented utility. Refere to Solution ID: 2077, How to Run dbscan With Database Repair Utility (dbrpr) for further information on dbrpr.
