Loop back client failing on SCO Openserver 5
If you are trying to start a loopback client on SCO OpenServer 5
and it is failing, ie:
$ proserve <db> -H <localhost> -S <service-name>
$ mpro <db> -H <localhost> -S <service-name>
...verify that you are running at least the following patch levels
for SCO OpenServer 5:
- OS level is at 5.0.0d
- Network patch level is at leat netms100
These OS and Networking patches resolve the problem.
NOTE: To verify if you are using OpenServer 5, at the OS prompt,
type: uname -X. The Release should show up as 3.2v5.0. The
significant number being the 5.
