SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to install Progress 9.1D on IBM AIX 4.3.3 MUP level 10.
Encounter the following error upon installation: "Required component x11.adt.lib.4.3.3.10 not found".
CAUSE:
The IBM AIX library X11.adt.lib is no installed.
FIX:
The file x11.adt.lib is located on CD 3 of 4 of the IBM AIX 4.3.3 installation CD's. To resolve the problem,follow the steps outlined below:
1. Insert the first of the AIX CD's into the machine's CDROM drive.
2. Start smit.
3. Select "Software Installation and Maintenance".
4. Select "Install and Update Software".
5. Select "Install and Update from ALL Available Software"
6. Choose the CD drive as the input device.
7. On "Software to install", press F4 to obtain a list to choose from.
8. Search for X11.adt.lib and install it once it's been found.
After the installation process check the level of this fileset using the following UNIX command:
lslpp -l X11.adt.lib
It should appear similar to the following:
luna: lslpp -l X11.adt.lib
