SYMPTOM(s):
The dataserver broker cannot handle PROGRESS database connections. (2663)
Error when trying to connect to a 4GL client to a remote Database.
CAUSE:
The service name being specified on the 4GL client connection string is incorrect. The error occurs when the 4GL client specifies the service name that an OIB (_prooibk) process is started with. The OIB process services ODBC clients only and thus returns the 2663 error.
FIX:
Change the Service name (-S) that the 4GL client is specifying to the service name that the primary database broker was started with.
