GPF messages with Progress Installation Utility

INTRODUCTION:
Certain settings in Windows will cause the Progress Installation
Utility to GPF.
PROGRESS ERROR NUMBER: ERROR TEXT: TYPE:

POSSIBLE CAUSE OF ERROR:
Double-quotes ["], left parentheses [(], right parentheses [)], or
commas [,], within the Windows Program Item or Program Group
Description property will cause the Progress Install Utility to GPF.
Additionally, the Progress Install Utility defines variables
ICONNAME and MAXCMDLINE as having fixed lengths of 40 and 110
characters, respectively. If the icon name of a Windows Program
Item or Program Group is greater than 40, OR the command line within
the Properties of a Windows Program Item is greater than 110, the
Progress Install Utility will GPF.
CORRECTIVE MEASURES:
The Program Item or Program Group properties will need to be modified
accordingly for the Progress Install Utility to run.
