Fathom High Availability Replication 1.0A
Fathom High Availability Replication 2.0A
Fathom High Availability Replication 3.0A
Fathom High Availability Replication 10.0B
SYMPTOM(s):
More ai notes are being written to ai files with Fathom Replication
Size of ai extents is bigger when using Fathom Replication
CAUSE:
There are additional notes required by Replication.
Each record created/updated/deleted is performed within a logical operation. A logical operation is a unit of work within a transaction that insures that a record and it's index entries are updated as a unit. The additional notes being seen describe the beginning and end of the logical operations.
The Replication Agent uses these to perform low-level record-get locks. Record-get locks prevent half updated records from being retrieved by 4GL or SQL.
FIX:
This is an expected behavior as per explanation given in cause.
