GOAL:
Can information be written to the metaschema tables?
FIX:
In general customers should never write directly to the metaschema tables. We do not guarantee compatibility of the contents of these tables from one major release to another. There were significant changes in version 9.0.
But the _User-Misc field is the one exception. Progress added the _User-Misc field to the schema tables expressly for this purpose -- so that customers could store their own information here if they wish to do so.
