SYMPTOM(s):
Error received when installing WebSpeed messenger
A JVM has not been detected
Installation of products that require JAVA will not be allowed
The WebSpeed messenger install files are downloaded from download center
FACT(s) (Environment):
Linux Intel
WebSpeed 3.x
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
WebSpeed transaction server license entered during installation. The WebSpeed transaction server needs JVM, therefore the messages.
FIX:
WebSpeed messenger does not need JVM
Log back in to download center and get the WebSpeed messenger license, use that license to install
