Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.0A
SYMPTOM(s):
prostrct list always reports Cluster Size 1
VST query _Area._Area-clustersize always reports Cluster Size 1
Database always being created with default cluster size 1
CAUSE:
The number of blocks per cluster is defined incorrectly within <db>.file - the wrong separator "," (comma) is used instead of ";" (semi-colon) and the incorrect separator gets ignored via prostrct command when creating the database and default value 1 is being used.
FIX:
Modify .st to have correct syntax as per following example:
d "Info Area":7,32;8 ./kevin_7.d1
7 .. represents Area number
32 .. represents number of records per block
8 .. represents the number of blocks per cluster
