SYMPTOM(s):
GPF when starting database from Progress Explorer
conmgr.properties file copied from 9.1C installation
An optimistic update modified more than one row - unique row identifier isn't unique (5321)
Field '<field>' must match in extent and data type for BUFFER-COPY of '<source-buffer>' to '<target-buffer>'. (5380)
Error messages 5321 and 5380 are truncated in the logfile:
"16:28:31 BROKER 0: n't unique (5321)"
"16:28:31 BROKER 0: s'. (5380)"
Problem does not occur with a single user session
Database server does not start with proserve from a command line
CAUSE:
The PROMSGS variable points to the wrong Progress installation
FIX:
Check that PROMSGS variable is correctly set and not pointing to an old installation
