GOAL:
Why can't you change the SQL Width for Integer and Date fields?
FIX:
Setting the SQL Width only makes sense for fields whose internal storage can vary (i.e. character and decimal fields). Integer and Date fields have a fixed internal size in the database, consequently, it makes no sense to be able to set the SQL Width for them.
