IBM RS6000 install tape ejected

INTRODUCTION:
=============
This knowledgebase entry describes the problem which occurs when
trying to install Progress on a RS6000 and the installation tape
is ejected shortly after it is inserted in the drive.
POSSIBLE CAUSE OF ERROR:
========================
A possible cause is that the drive does not support short length
tapes. The Progress installation tape (8 MM) length is 15 meters.
CORRECTIVE MEASURES:
====================
Copy on another system the installation tape to a regular tape the
drive can read and install Progress with this tape normally.
