FACT(s) (Environment):

FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
SYMPTOM(s):
Trying to run TTY program in the AppBuilder
Unable to attach shared memory <shmname>, error <n>. (1720)
CHANGE:
Connecting to database that is on another machine
CAUSE:
The TTY client that is invoked when running a TTY program from the AppBuilder has no default way of knowing how to connect to the remote database
FIX:
1) Create a text file that has a .pf extension and enter the connection parameters needed to connect to the remote database.
2) Modify either the registry or INI file (whichever you are using) and add a subkey called 'PROSTARTUP' to the 'WinChar Startup' key. This key should be a string value and you enter the location and file name of the .pf file you created in step #1 above.
