SYMPTOM(s):
The ENABLE-EVENTS method hangs the automation object when it is executed from a character client (CHUI).
Internet Explorer hangs as soon as the ENABLE-EVENTS method is executed.
Excel hangs after the event is fired. Excel XP will give a warning after a while saying: "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OL action".

This is a design limit. We do not support this functionality in character mode.

It will be documented in future releases of Progress / OpenEdge.
